A Note from David Pfaltzgraff- #BlackOutTuesday

Hey folks, David here. As I’m sure you’re aware the last several months have been incredibly difficult for the entire world. Now on top of that we’ve seen the tragic murder of George Floyd and others deeply impact the United States and the world.

As a company made up of believers in Christ and personally as a Christian I believe it is incredibly important for all of us to pay attention to what is happening right now, whether we feel we are personally impacted by it or not.

It may be a surprise to some of us who are white that we find ourselves needing to say ‘racism is wrong’ in 2020 but to many people of color what is happening now is not at all a surprise, but rather a reflection of everyday lived experience.

If your church has been having discussions about race and anti-racism during this time I would encourage you to lean into those conversations. If you don’t know where to begin or your church is not actively speaking about these issues, a great place to start is seeking out resources online. I’m a big fan of BeTheBridge.com

In honor of #BlackOutTuesday today Sunday Sounds will be donating 100% of store revenue to justice oriented charities doing the work of facilitating real, systemic change.

As Christians we are called to mourn with those who mourn. We are also called to pursue justice where there is injustice. It starts with all of us.

Grace and peace,
